People always ask me if they “measure up”

Now there’s a way to find out!

When a passage in a Mozart concerto breaks down, or solo Bach refuses to stay in tune, how do you know what to work on first? There could be hundreds of physical or mental processes to blame.

But it’s almost certainly the same two or three, getting in your way every time you put the bow to the string.

What are they? How can you identify them yourself so that you know what to work on first?

Meet the Kayser Checkup.

It’s a diagnostic tool I built to cut through the uncertainty and let you know, within an hour, which of the fundamentals is holding you back.

I started with the same Wheel of Techniques I teach inside Daily Virtuoso, then matched them to the etudes that have been training violinists and violists for over a century: Kayser’s 36 Studies, Op 20.

12 fundamentals, 5 levels each, 60 points possible in total.

5 points in a category means you can put your attention elsewhere. Anything less means that you could stand to improve.

But what you’re really looking out for are those 1s and 2s. They may have been hiding in plain sight, but their time has finally come!

Registering for the free event gets you immediate access to the diagnostic itself, plus my own copy of Kayser’s Op 20, already reordered into the sequence the Checkup uses.

Remember: your score is not a judgement. When you take the Checkup, you give yourself the exact information you need to take your playing to the next level.

And if you want a helping hand taking that next step? That’s what the free 3-day Zero to 60 event is all about.

Over 3 days, I’ll show you exactly what’s holding you back, and exactly what to do about it.

Here’s what to expect over our 3 days together

Each day, we’ll meet live on Zoom, and I’ll work one-on-one with a real member of Daily Virtuoso on their own self-assessment, in real time.

3 volunteers, 3 different kinds of violinists:

🎻 a touring professional who’s recorded her own album,

🎻 a physician’s assistant who spends every spare hour on chamber music, and

🎻 a busy mom and freelancer returning to the violin after years away.

Each of their score wheels will tell a different story. And when I read that story, I’ll know just what to work on with them. You’ll see it, live.

But the best part? By the end of 3 days, you’ll know how to read your own story, and where it goes next.

So fill up your wheel today! Take the Kayser Checkup, join our free community, and bring your results to the event. There’s a chance you could go through your diagnostic – live, with me!
